Michael Freimuth

With over 30 years of municipal and real estate development experience, including serving as the chief development official for the Cities of Bridgeport, Ct; Stamford Ct; and now New Rochelle, NY, Michael Freimuth has successfully conducted neighborhood development and brownfield reclamation projects while utilizing a wide range of federal, state and local programs including the blending of complex tools such as tax increment financing, municipal bonding, federal EDA, HUD, EPA and U.S. DOT funds, local brownfield initiatives, New Market Tax Credits, Historic Tax Credits and has created a variety of local program initiatives. He has been a leader in state and federal brownfield legislative and regulatory development and has managed a real estate subsidiary focused on urban industrial sites. Recently he has worked to create Energy Improvement Districts as a means to lower power cost and achieve greater reliability and independence from the electrical grid while also meeting new green objectives. Mr. Freimuth has a Masters in Public Finance and Administration from GWU in Washington DC and a Bachelor in Economics from the University of Connecticut.
