Vivian Baker

Vivian Baker is the Assistant Director of Transit Friendly Land Use & Development for New Jersey Transit Corporation, the nation's largest statewide public transportation system. Vivian directs NJ TRANSIT's "Transit-Friendly Planning Program," which provides technical and consultant assistance to communities interested in creating and implementing sustainable, transit-oriented plans, development strategies and projects around existing or proposed transit facilities. Vivian also serves as NJ TRANSIT's representative on a variety of cabinet-level interagency teams focused on TOD, smart growth, brownfield redevelopment and "greyfield" re-use. Vivian holds a Bachelor of Science degree and a post-graduate certification in Environmental Planning from Rutgers University. She is a member in good standing of the NJ Chapter of the American Planning Association.
