Vahak Khajekian

Vahak Khajekian is an urban planner, as well as a registered architect in the States of New York and Connecticut. Over a 25-year professional carrier, Mr. Khajekian has worked in management positions in private and public sectors, including: Managing Architect for Facilities Siting and Acquisitions at the NYC School Construction Authority & Department of Education, Deputy Director for Planning and Development for the Borough of Bronx, and Senior Planner at the NYC Economic Development Corporation. Currently, Mr. Khajekian is the Assistant Director of Transit Oriented Development (TOD) at the MTA/Metro North Railroad. Drawing on his broad experience in planning, design and economic development, Mr. Khajekian helps formulate and prioritize the agency's TOD program and is responsible for major TOD and station upgrade projects in the Metro-North service territory.
