Barry Hersh

Barry Hersh, AICP, is a recognized redevelopment expert and consultant on the reuse of environmentally-challenged properties across the country. Mr. Hersh has been one of the leading brownfields developers in the country, having managed the acquisition of over $150 million dollars in environmentally-impacted properties from commercial to heavy industrial nationwide. His experience in the development field includes over 25 years in various positions including Development and Planning Director for a municipality, Executive Director of a Community Development Corporation and senior development official for a Fortune 100 corporation. Currently Mr. Hersh holds an appointment as Clinical Associate Professor of Real Estate, teaching graduate courses in development, land use and sustainability at New York University. Mr. Hersh has a Master's in Planning from New York University and an undergraduate degree in Urban Affairs/Economics from City University of New York.
